The Godparent program is one of the most convenient alternatives for people (specially the ones living overseas) to help the children assisted by Young Power. These kids are characterized for being persons under high risk of adopting the streets as their homes. The program is entirely preventive; whenever someone decides to become a Godparent, his/her contribution would allow preventing a child from living in the streets.

Pedagogical, medical, psychological, and nutritional assistance on a daily basis would be provided to each Godson/Goddaughter.

• Become a Godparent on-line through Timmy Foundation

Young Power will send you an explanatory pamphlet about the Godparent program and you will receive a monthly report (by regular mail or e-mail) about the situation of one of the children assisted through the program; one different child every month! 

• Relationship of the Godparent and Godson

Each Godson/daughter will be notified about the existence of a group of Godparents. They will be encouraged to write their sponsors on a regular basis. Young Power strongly believes that.activities. It should be mentioned that a specific child would not be assigned to each Godparent because Young Power cannot guarantee the indefinite permanence of every child under the program. The children assisted through the program have family members who may suddenly decide to leave the neighborhood because of the violence in the area. Please note, however, that Young Power provides these children with the best available alternative for a dignifying life.

• Compromise

Enrollment/ renewal for the Godparent program is carried out on a yearly basis. The action is completely volunteered. However, if support is suspended before completion of the year, the Godparent is encouraged to be responsible for finding another sponsor for the remaining renewal period.
