THE EIGHT INTELLIGENCES
Bodily/kinesthetic intelligence is defined as
the ability to use the body to express ideas and feelings
and to solve problems. This include physial skills as coordination, flexibility speed , and
balance.
Intrapersonal intelligence is the ability
to understand yourself-, your strengths and weeknesses,
moods, desires, and intentions. This includes such skills as
understanding how you are similar to or different from others,
reminding yourself to do something, knowing about yourself as a language
learner, knowing how to handle your feelings , such as what to do and how
to behave when your angry or sad.
Interpersonal inteligence is the ability to understand another
persons mood, feelings, motivations and intentions. This includes such skills as responding effectively to other people
in some pragmatic way, such as getting students or colleges to
participate in a project.
Linguistic intelligence is the ability to use words
effectively both orally and writting. This
intelligence include skills such as remembering information ,
convincing others to help you, and talking about language itself
Logihcal/mathematical
intelligence is the ability to use numbers and reason well.
This includes such skills as understanding the
basic properties of numbers, principles of cause and effect, the
ability to predict, and using simple machines
Musical intelligence is sensitivytty to rythm ,
pitch and melody. This include such skills as the ability to
recognize simple songs and using simple melodies
Naturalist intelligence refers
to the ability to recognize and classify plants, minerals, and animals . It
is also the ability to recognize cultural artefacts
like cars or sneakers.
Visual/spatial intelligence is
the sensitivity to form , space, color, line, and shape. It includes
the ability to graphically represent visual or spatial ideas
